I’ve inded never heard of Waldeinsamkeit, still a great illustration
Interestingly enough, the concept of “die Waldeinsamkeit” is prominent in the English-speaking world, but considered by many Germans not to be a real word, or still in a neologism-like state. I don’t know the exact history of it, although it has been around awhile in poetry; the American transcendentalists loved to use it. However, while Germans understand what it refers to, you will never heard a German use this word or even consider it a word unless you hang out in literary circles. Most dictionaries don’t even have it!
